One Book, One San Diego is a community reading program managed by KPBS in partnership with the San Diego County Library and the San Diego Public Library, with major support provided by the Linden Root Dickinson Foundation, and additional support provided by Lloyd Pest Control.
The purpose of the program is to encourage residents to join together in the shared experience of reading and discussing the same book. The program also encourages participation in related events, discussions of the ideas raised in the featured books, and examination of how these ideas connect with our daily lives and local communities.
And, the 2013 One Book selection is...
Caleb's Crossing by Geraldine Brooks will be read and discussed by thousands of San Diegans and become the focus of a series of special events and activities.

One Book for Kids!
The children's companion book to Caleb's Crossing is Jingle Dancer by Cynthia Leitich Smith. Special family-friendly events with the author will take place this fall alongside regular One Book activities!
