Creating Your PIN

To create a PIN:

Visit the San Diego County Library online catalog.
Click on "My Library Account."
Type in your 14-digit barcode number.
Leave the PIN field blank.
Click on "Submit."
Enter the PIN you would like to use in the "Enter Your PIN" and "Enter Your PIN Again" boxes.
Click on "Submit."

Note: If you see the "Invalid PIN" message instead of "Please enter a new PIN," you may already have a PIN.

To reset your PIN:

Visit the San Diego County Library online catalog.
Click on "My Library Account."
Click on the "Forget Your PIN?" button.
Type in your 14-digit barcode number.
An email message will be send to the email address associated with your account. Follow the instructions in the email to reset your PIN.

If you do not have an email address associated with your library account or no longer have access to the email address on file, please contact your local branch so that library staff can delete your existing PIN and you can create a new one.
