San Diego County Library is teaming up with Blick Art Materials to host a countywide art contest from January 1 through May 31, 2013. Customers can drop off their 100 Years of Stories themed submissions at any of the library's 35 locations.
Submission Form and Guidelines
• The contest is open to all ages with categories for kids (12 and below), teens (13-17), and adults (18 and older).
• Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each age group. The first place winners in each age group will have their artwork featured on bookmarks distributed at all County Library locations.
• Artwork must not exceed an 11" x 17" sheet of paper; no minimum size is required.
• Recommended formats include pencil, pen, crayon, marker, charcoal, and/or paint.
Blick Art Materials is sponsoring the Centennial Art Contest through donating art supplies and supporting the framing of the nine winning pieces, which will then serve as a rotating art exhibit at branch locations.
Select County Library locations will be hosting Art Contest programs where customers can use donated art supplies to create their submissions. For a full list of Art Contest programs, visit our events calendar.
