Litter and trash are among the many common stormwater pollutants that can degrade water quality. Besides being unsightly, litter and trash can cause stormwater blockages of pipe and cause flooding. Trash also can harm aquatic life such as fish and frogs.

Use Best Management Practices (BMPs)!
BMPs are techniques or controls used to prevent or reduce the discharge of pollutants, such as litter and trash, into the stormwater conveyance system also known as the storm drain system.
