Cement and Masonry activities.Masonry activities create wastes are among the many common stormwater pollutants that can degrade water quality.  Cleaning masonry tools and equipment generate a variety of wastes.  Excess cement and rinse water are a couple of examples.  It is illegal to dispose of these wastes to the storm drain system!  Cement dumped into the storm drain system can cause blockages which can result in flooding.  Rinse water from cleaning tools and equipment is toxic to plants and aquatic life.

Your Regulatory Requirements - County of San Diego, Stormwater Ordinance
