Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health, Hazardous Materials Division is pleased to provide pre-2008 public records on a hosted website for you to view and download as you need. For 2008 records and newer, please complete a formal Public Records Request DEH-9098.
You can search on any combination of the fields provided or download the entire database. If you would like to find information about hazardous materials establishments in your neighborhood, do the following:
1. Select your ZIP Code from the drop-down box,
2. Limit search to sites as necessary
3. Click on the button below.
Otherwise, you may type in partial information for an Establishment Number, Establishment Name, Street Number, and/or Street Name. Establishment Numbers no longer include a leading "H". The "H" on permits existing before May of 2002 has been replaced by a number 1 (for instance, H00003 is now 100003). All permits issued starting May of 2002 begin with a number 2. Please select City or Zip Code from pull down list. Click the "Submit" button after you have entered your search fields.

The Hazardous Materials database is available for download. The following compressed ZIP file will expand into six ASCII comma-delimited text files that can be imported into any database or spreadsheet program. The data below is extracted on a quarterly basis.
